동화일렉트로라이트가 지난 3월 6일부터 3일간 코엑스에서 열린 ‘인터배터리 2024’에 참가했다. 국내 최대의 배터리 전시회에서 우수한 기술력을 인정받은 그 자랑스러운 현장을 소개한다.
압도적인 역량으로 신뢰를 만든다
올해로 12회를 맞이한 ‘인터배터리’는 첨단 배터리 제품과 기술력을 한자리에서 볼 수 있는 배터리 산업 전문 전시회다. 동화일렉트로라이트(이하 동화일렉)는 올해도 전시에 참여해 자체 부스를 운영하며 이차전지 소재 리더 기업으로서의 위상과 비전을 공유했다. 부스에는 3일간 많은 방문객들의 발길이 이어졌고 미디어월, 제품 모형, 설명 패널 등을 통해 전해액 및 첨가제 기술은 물론 동화일렉의 사업과 전망까지 한눈에 확인할 수 있었다. 특히 이차전지 전해액 첨가제 6종의 실물을 전시해 보다 가까이에서 동화일렉 제품의 차별화된 가치를 알리는 기회가 됐다.
전해질 최고 혁신상 수상
이번 전시에서는 우수 제품과 혁신 기술을 선발하는 시상식인 ‘인터배터리 어워즈’가 신설돼 관심을 모았다. 올해는 50개 기업, 78개 제품이 출품된 가운데 동화일렉의 ‘PA800’을 포함한 9개 제품이 최종 수상자로 선정됐다. PA800은 동화일렉이 국내 최초로 개발해 양산까지 성공한 리튬이차전지용 전해액 첨가제로, 이번 시상식에서 ‘전해질 최고 혁신상’을 수상하는 영예를 안았다. 한편 글로벌 배터리 전문가들이 최신 배터리 기술과 정보, 동향을 공유하는 ‘더배터리 콘퍼런스’ 프로그램에서는 김정수 중앙연구소장이 연사로 참여해 전해액 및 첨가제 개발 현황을 소개하고 향후 전망에 대한 인사이트를 전했다.
취업 멘토링으로 미래 인재 유치
동화일렉은 이번 전시에서 배터리 분야 인재 유치에도 적극 나섰다. 취업 준비생을 위해 열린 ‘배터리 잡페어’에서 멘토링 부스를 운영하고 일대일 취업 멘토링 프로그램을 진행한 것. 멘토링 프로그램에 지원한 참가자 90여 명은 동화일렉 전해질기술연구소 및 화학 HRBP팀 직원들과 직접 면담하는 기회를 가졌고 구직에 도움이 되는 피드백도 받을 수 있었다. 구직자들에게 보다 상세한 채용 정보를 전달하고자 ‘기업 설명회’ 시간도 마련해 동화일렉의 연구 개발 현황 및 동화의 기업 문화와 근무 환경도 소개했다. 동화일렉의 우수한 기술력과 가치를 보다 널리 알릴 수 있었던 ‘인터배터리 2024’. 앞으로도 이차전지 배터리 소재 산업의 리더로서 시장을 확대해갈 동화일렉의 미래를 기대해본다.
Outstanding Lithium-ion battery technology
Marking its 12th anniversary this year, InterBattery is dedicated to introducing cutting-edge battery products and technologies. As a leader in the Lithium-ion battery materials sector, Dongwha Electrolyte participated in the event this year as well in its own pavilion, which was visited by many people. It featured a media wall, product models and an explanatory panel introducing not only electrolytes and additives, but also the company’s business areas and prospects. The company put on display six additives to highlight the superb quality of its products.
Best Electrolyte Innovation Award
This year’s InterBattery featured awards for outstanding products and innovative technologies. A total of 78 products produced by 50 companies were presented. Dongwha Electrolyte’s nine products including the PA800 made the cut to the list of award-winners. The PA800 is an electrolyte additive for Lithium-ion batteries that Dongwha Electrolyte was the first in Korea to develop and mass produce. The company was honored with the Best Electrolyte Innovation Award. In the Battery Conference program, where global battery experts share information on the latest battery technologies, Head of R&D Center Jeongsoo Kim introduced the latest results in the development of electrolytes and additives, and shared his insight on the future outlook for the battery sector.
Attracting future talent through job mentoring
To attract new talent in the battery sector, Dongwha Electrolyte provided one-on-one mentoring services to job-seekers in its own pavilion. Some 90 applicants received in-person consultations and feedback from Dongwha Electrolyte’s Electrolyte technology center and Chemical HRBP team. A special briefing session was also held on Dongwha Electrolyte’s R&D activities and Dongwha’s corporate culture to provide more detailed information to job-seekers. InterBattery 2024 served as an opportunity to further publicize Dongwha Electrolyte’s outstanding technologies and values. We look forward to its growth as a leader in the Lithium-ion battery materials industry.
