VRG동화는 동화기업이 베트남고무그룹(VRG)과 합작해 2012년 호찌민 인근에 설립한 합작회사입니다. 우수한 품질의 MDF를 생산하고 있으며, 이 곳 VRG동화에서 생산된 MDF는 베트남에서 가구로 가공된 뒤 대부분 미국으로 수출됩니다. 또한 일부는 베트남 내수와 아시아 시장에도 공급되고 있습니다. 빠르게 성장하는 베트남 시장의 역동성 속에서 한국의 앞선 기술력과 현지에 대한 깊은 이해를 결합해 안정적인 운영을 이어가고 있는 이곳! “안녕하세요! 저는 VRG동화 GA팀(General Affairs, 총무팀)에서 약 5년째 근무 중인 마이리(Nguyen Mai Ly)입니다. 오늘은 저와 VRG동화 직원들의 하루를 소개해 드릴게요.”

"Hello everyone! I’m Mai Ly (Nguyen Mai Ly), and I’ve been with VRG Dongwha’s GA team (General Affairs) for nearly five years. Today, I’d like to share a day in the life of me and my colleagues at VRG Dongwha."

Scene 1. 출근길 & 회사 도착 (Morning Commute & Arrival)

Q. 보통 어떻게 출근하시나요?

"저희 집은 회사에서 약 5km 정도라 크게 멀지 않아요. 베트남에서 흔히 이용하는 오토바이로 출근합니다. 회사에 도착하면 먼저 팀원들에게 인사하고 물을 마신 뒤(물은 하루 2리터 정도 충분히 마시려고 한답니다), 이메일을 확인합니다. 빠뜨리는 일이 없도록 To-do 리스트를 정리하면서 하루를 시작해요."

Q. How do you usually get to work?

"My home is about 5 km from the company, so I usually ride my motorbike to work. After I arrive, I greet everyone, get some water (I try to drink around two liters a day), check my emails, and write a to-do list so I don’t miss anything."

Scene 2. 팀 소개 (Meet the Team)

Q. 팀을 소개해 주세요. 팀 분위기는 어떤가요?

"저희 GA팀은 총 6명이 함께 일하고 있어요. 규모는 크지 않지만 단단하게 뭉치는 팀입니다. 우리는 창의성과 다양성을 존중하는 열린 업무 문화를 지향하고, 이슈가 생기면 끝까지 함께 해결해 나가요. 작지만 강한 팀, 이게 저희 GA팀의 분위기입니다."

Q. Please introduce your team.

"GA team has six members. We’re a small team, but we work closely and stay united. We value an open culture that respects creativity and diversity. When issues come up, we don’t treat them as 'someone else’s problem'—we solve them together. That’s what makes our team small but strong."

Scene 3. 업무 중 (At Work)

Q. 주로 어떤 업무를 담당하시나요? 요즘 집중하고 있는 주요 프로젝트나 업무는 무엇인가요?

"가장 최근에는 YEP(Year-End Party) 프로젝트를 진행했습니다. 한 해를 돌아보고 그 동안의 성과를 기념하는 행사로, 참석자 식사와 활동 등 행사 전반을 준비합니다. YEP는 GA팀이 연중 담당하는 핵심 이벤트 중 하나입니다. 저는 기획안을 작성해 보고하고 승인 받은 뒤 실행에 들어가며, 팀원들은 각자 맡은 패키지를 준비하면서 행사가 메인 테마에 맞게 진행되도록 계속 점검해요."

Q. What main project are you focusing on these days?

"Most recently, I worked on the YEP (Year-End Party) project. It is an event to celebrate our achievements in 2025, where we prepare everything from meals to activities for the attendees. YEP is one of the key annual events managed by GA. We draft and report the plan, and after final approval, we move to execution. Each team member takes ownership of a specific 'package,' constantly checking to ensure everything aligns with the main theme."

Scene 4. 점심시간 (Lunch Break)

Q. 점심시간은 보통 어떻게 보내시나요?

"점심시간은 12시부터 1시까지인데요. 저는 구내식당에서 30분 정도 식사하고 남은 시간에는 잠깐 눈을 붙입니다. 사실 점심시간 낮잠은 베트남에서 흔히 찾아볼수 있는 문화랍니다. 구내식당에서는 다양한 베트남 음식을 제공하고, 주 2회 정도 분보후에(Bún bò Huế), 후띠에우(Hủ tiếu) 같은 쌀국수나 면 요리도 나와요. 또 식당 TV로 VRG동화 뉴스레터를 볼 수 있어서 공장 운영 소식과 국내외 뉴스 하이라이트를 편하게 접할 수 있습니다."

Q. How do you usually spend your lunch break?

"Our lunch break is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. I usually eat at the canteen for about 30 minutes and take a short nap afterward—lunch-time napping is quite common in Vietnam. The canteen serves a variety of Vietnamese dishes, and twice a week there are noodle options such as Bún bò Huế, Bún thịt nướng, and Hủ tiếu. We also like the canteen because we can watch VRGDW’s newsletter on TV, featuring updates on factory operations and news highlights."

Scene 5. 생산 현장 (Production Site)

Q. 생산 현장도 소개해 주세요!

"VRG동화에는 MDF 1·2라인과 화학 공장이 있어요. 생산 현장과 사무 직원들은 매일 긴밀하게 협업하며 공장이 차질없이 운영되도록 맞춰갑니다. 생산직은 설비 운전을 맡고, 사무직은 원자재·케미컬 준비부터 식사·유니폼·안전장비, 재무 안정성 유지와 법적 지원까지 운영 전반을 담당합니다. 역할은 달라도 목표는 하나죠. 바로 고객을 위한 고품질 MDF를 안정적으로 생산하는 것입니다!"

Q. Could you briefly introduce the production site? How do office staff and production staff collaborate?

"Our site includes MDF Line 1, MDF Line 2, and a Chemical Plant. The production team operates the equipment, while office staff support the operation end to end—spare parts, raw materials, chemicals, meals, uniforms, safety gear, financial stability, and legal support. Different roles, one shared goal: producing high-quality MDF reliably for both domestic and international markets."

"VRG Dongwha is one of the large-scale MDF plants in Asia that began operating relatively early. Our modern manufacturing system, built on the latest technologies, is a key strength—along with our location near raw material sources, which gives us an operational advantage. Above all, people matter most. Every employee is doing their best in their own role to support VRG Dongwha’s continued growth and development."
