2024년 7월 8일부터 이틀 동안 ‘동화 보드 테크니컬 콘퍼런스’가 동화컬처빌리지에서 열렸다. 2006년부터 시작된 해당 콘퍼런스는 동화 글로벌 보드 사업장의 기술력 향상과 효율적인 운영 방안을 모색하기 위한 중요한 회의체로 발전해왔다. 한국, 말레이시아, 베트남 등 국내외 사업장별 운영 방식과 성과를 공유하고, 상호 협력을 통해 기술적 도약을 꾀하는 중요한 자리인 것. 코로나 팬데믹 이후 5년 만에 기술기획팀 주관으로 재개된 이번 행사는 국내외 보드사업장 주요 부서의 기술총괄, 기술혁신실장, 각 사업장 대표 등 주요 임원들과 본부장, 부문장, 팀장급 리더 총 28명이 참여했다. 참가자들은 행사 주제인 ‘보드 초격차 제조경쟁력 확보 방안’에 대해 심도 있는 토론을 진행했다. 또 생산성 향상, 원가 절감, 품질 관리, 공정 관리 등 다양한 분야에서 개선 과제를 도출하고 보드사업부의 단기·중장기 전략을 수립했다. 보드사업부 리더들이 머리를 맞대고 새로운 성장 전략을 모색한 시간, 앞선 품질과 기술력으로 글로벌 시장을 사로잡을 동화의 저력을 기대해본다.
Searching for ways to upgrade board manufacturing technologies
The Dongwha Board Technical Conference took place on July 8-10, 2024 in Dongwha Culture Village. Launched in 2006, the conference has evolved into an important event for upgrading technologies and boosting efficiency at Dongwha’s global board business sites. This year’s conference was focused on sharing management methods and achievements at business sites in Korea, Malaysia and Vietnam, and finding ways to improve technologies through mutual cooperation. Suspended for five years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s conference was attended by 28 executives and managers from the major teams at domestic and overseas board business sites. They held in-depth discussions about ways to secure unrivaled competitiveness in board manufacturing. They also devised tasks to enhance productivity, cut costs, improve quality and process control, and set short- and long-term strategies for the Board BU. Their efforts to unearth new growth strategies will hopefully help Dongwha realize its potential in the global market through better quality and more advanced technologies.
