2024년 동화기업 무재해 선포식 및 포상식이 지난 2월 22일 엠파크 본관 대회의실에서 열렸다. 무재해 선포식은 경영진과 임직원이 모여 한 해 동안 사업장의 무재해 달성과 안전한 근로 환경 조성을 다짐하는 자리. 채광병 소재총괄 사장을 비롯해 소재 총괄 임원진, 각 사업장 노조위원장과 안전보건관리책임자, 협력업체 대표 등이 참석해 2024년 한 해 동안 동화 근로자들의 안전을 기원했다.
먼저 2023년 무재해 달성 및 안전 보건 활동에 적극 참여한 사업장을 수상하는 시간을 가졌다. 올해는 ‘무재해 달성 포상 대상’에 18개 부서가, ‘안전 보건 참여 우수 부서’에 3개 부서가 선정됐으며 참석자들은 안전 현장을 만들기 위한 이들의 노력에 박수를 보냈다. 포상식 후에는 노동조합의 ‘무재해 달성을 위한 다짐’, 안전보건관리책임자들의 ‘안전보건 경영 방침 달성을 위한 선서’, 근로자 대표단의 ‘직원 무재해 결의 선서’, 동화 협력업체들의 ‘무재해 달성을 위한 다짐’을 차례로 낭독하며 무재해 사업장 실현에 앞장서겠다는 의지를 다졌다. 이날 채광병 소재총괄 사장은 “언제나 규정을 준수하고, 기본에 충실한 프로세스 관리에 힘써야 한다”며 “모든 근로자는 안전이 확보된 후 작업에 임할 것”을 강조했다.
Commitment to creating a safe workplace
On February 22 Dongwha Enterprise held the 2024 disaster-free workplace declaration and award ceremony at MPark. Management and executives got together to promise efforts to make Dongwha a disaster-free and safe workplace. The ceremony was attended by Wood Materials BU CEO Kwangbyung Chae as well as executives in charge of the materials business, labor union chiefs and safety supervisors from each business site, and the representatives of subsidiaries. They vowed to protect Dongwha workers’ safety in 2024 as well. First, awards were given out to business sites that remained disaster-free in 2023 and participated proactively in safety and health activities. This year, 18 departments were selected as winners of the disaster-free award and three departments for the safety award. The participants gave them a big round of applause for their contributions to making Dongwha a safe place to work. After the award ceremony, oaths to achieve a disaster-free workplace were recited by the labor union chiefs, the safety supervisors, the workers’ representatives and Dongwha subsidiaries to convey their commitment to keeping workplaces free of accidents. CEO Chae urged the participants to abide by safety rules at all times, stick to the basics, and start working only after ensuring safety.
