동화그룹이 승명호 회장, 승지수 부회장을 비롯한 임원진과 각 부문 팀 리더 등 임직원이 참석한 가운데 2024년 시무식을 열었다. 엠파크 본관에서 진행된 2024년 시무식은 신년 영상으로 시작됐다. 올해도 우리가 직면한 현실이 녹록지 않겠지만, 위기를 기회로 바꾸며 쌓아온 75년 동화의 역사처럼 포기하지 않고 앞으로 나아가자는 메시지를 담은 영상이었다. 임직원들은 신년 영상을 시청하며 ‘실패에서 배우고, 현실에 안주하지 않으며, 기본에 충실하고, 맡은 바 책임을 다하며, 더 높은 기준을 설정’해온 동화의 방식으로 2024년의 어려움 역시 이겨낼 것을 다짐했다. 실력이 바탕이 된 자신감, 포기하지 않는 꾸준함, 더 높은 목표를 향한 도전으로 나아간다면 2024년은 분명 희망차고 특별한 해가 될 것이다.

청룡처럼 힘차게 비상하는 해가 되길
신년사에 앞서 승명호 회장은 “단단한 내실을 갖춘 기업만이 위기에서 살아남을 수 있다”면서 구성원들에게 “방심하지 말고 실수를 줄이며 기본에 충실할 것”을 당부했다. 이어 신년사에서는 한 해 동안 동화가 나아갈 방향을 제시했다. “경기 침체의 심각성을 인지하고, 시나리오 경영과 리스크 관리에 만전을 기해달라”고 주문하며, “미래에도 지속 가능한 신성장 동력을 발굴할 것”을 강조했다. 신년사에 이어 구성원들의 신년 하례가 진행됐다. 경영진과 구성원 모두 악수와 함께 따뜻한 응원과 격려를 주고받으며 신년 인사와 덕담을 나눴다.
동화의 2024년이 새롭게 밝았다. 용은 상상 속의 동물로 예로부터 지혜와 용맹함을 상징해왔다. 힘차게 비상하는 청룡처럼 동화인 모두 힘차게 도약해 자신만의 여의주를 찾아 맡은 분야에서 최고가 될 수 있기를 바란다.
Growth for Dongwha in 2024
The ceremony was attended by Dongwha Group Chairman Myungho Seung, Vice Chairman Jisu Seung, and the heads of each department and team. It began with a video encouraging employees to continue to move forward despite a challenging year ahead by turning crises into opportunities based on the 75 years of Dongwha’s history. The participants made a pledge to overcome difficulties by learning from failures, not falling for complacency, sticking to the basics, fulfilling their responsibilities, and setting higher standards. If we all move forward based on confidence in our abilities, perseverance and audacity to aim high, the year 2024 will no doubt will be full of hope.
Flying like a blue dragon
Chairman Seung urged the participants to minimize mistakes and stick to the basics, because only a strong company can survive in tough times. In his New Year speech, he set a direction for Dongwha in 2024. “I urge you to realize the seriousness of the economic downturn and exert effort in scenario and risk management. We must also unearth new sustainable growth engines,” said the chairman. After his speech, the participants shook hands and exchanged words of encouragement.
Since ancient times, the dragon has been a symbol of wisdom and courage. We hope all Dongwha members will achieve high goals in 2024, like the Blue Dragon flying vigorously in the sky.
