정년 퇴임을 맞은 장기 근속 구성원들을 위한 기념식이 지난 12월 27일 인천 가좌동 대회의실에서 열렸다. 현장에서 묵묵히 자리를 지키며 회사 성장에 기여한 이들이 마지막으로 동화에 남긴 이야기는 무엇일까.
동화에서 걸어온 빛나는 여정
2024년 정년 퇴임을 맞은 장기 근속 구성원 10명이 퇴임식에 참석하기 위해 모였다. 이들의 얼굴에는 긴 시간 자신의 자리를 묵묵히 지켰다는 뿌듯함과 오랜 시간 몸담았던 회사를 떠나야 한다는 아쉬움이 공존했다. 퇴임식에는 채광병 동화기업 사장, 김재민 동화일렉·태양합성 대표를 비롯해 일터에서 함께한 동료들은 물론 가족들도 참석해 그간의 노고와 공로에 대한 고마움을 표했다.
앞서 퇴직자들은 인터뷰 영상 촬영을 통해 퇴임을 앞둔 소회를 밝혔다. 이날 퇴임식에서는 이들의 소감을 담아 제작한 헌정 영상을 함께 시청하며 동화와 함께한 소중한 발자취를 돌아볼 수 있었다. 이어 퇴직자들의 헌신과 노력을 기리기 위한 공로패 수여식이 진행됐다. 한 명 한 명 퇴직자들의 이름이 호명이 될 때마다 참석자들은 진심을 담아 박수를 보냈다.
퇴직자 대표로 소감을 밝힌 어수방 태양합성 운영본부장은 “인생 1막을 정년 퇴임이라는 영광스러운 타이틀로 뜻깊게 마무리했다”며 “동료들의 도움 덕분에 여기까지 올 수 있었다”고 감사의 말을 남겼다.
채광병 동화기업 사장, 김재민 동화일렉·태양합성 대표는 “동화를 끝까지 기억해주길 바라고 우리 역시 여러분을 영원히 기억할 것”이라며 “아낌없이 지원해주신 가족들에게도 감사하다”고 전했다. 끝이 아닌 새로운 시작을 앞둔 퇴직자들. 인생 2막과 함께 펼쳐질 멋진 도전의 길을 동화인 모두가 응원할 것이다.
A happy journey at Dongwha
Ten long-service employees who retired in 2024 gathered at their retirement ceremony. They looked both rewarded for their long service and sad to leave their longtime workplace. The retirement ceremony was attended by President Kwangbyung Chae, Dongwha Electrolyte·Taeyang Chemical CEO Jaemin Kim and the retirees’ colleagues and relatives, who came to express their gratitude for their contributions.
Prior to the ceremony, the retirees recorded video messages, which were shown later at the ceremony. They reminded everyone of the time spent together at Dongwha. The retirees also received appreciation plaques in recognition of their dedication and hard work. Each time their names were called out one by one, the participants gave them a big round of applause. Taeyang Chemical COO Soobang Eu, who gave an acceptance speech on behalf of the retirees, said, “It is an honor for me to finish another chapter in my life with retirement. I was able to come this far thanks to my coworkers.” We wish the retired employees to make a fresh start in life in the best way possible.
