안전하고 깨끗한 사업장을 위한 노력
10월 18일과 20일 양일간 '2023 하반기 5S TOP 진단'이 진행됐다. 5S는 정리·정돈·청소·청결·습관화의 앞 글자를 딴 생산성 향상 운동으로, 깨끗하고 효율적인 작업 환경을 조성하기 위한 관리·개선 활동이다. 동화그룹 '5S TOP 진단'은 최고경영진이 사업 현장을 방문해 5S 활동 상황을 직접 진단하고, 직원들과 커뮤니케이션하는 것이 특징이다. 동화그룹은 매년 1회 5S TOP 진단을 실시함으로써 쾌적한 작업 환경 조성에 힘쓰고 있다.
5S 활동이 혁신적 성과로 이어지길
이번 5S TOP 진단은 승지수 부회장, 채광병 사장, 이시준 사장을 비롯한 여러 임직원들이 참석한 가운데 인천, 아산, 논산 지역 전 사업장에서 시행됐다. 진단 후에는 우수 공장에 대한 시상도 있었다. 모든 공장이 우수했지만 아주 근소한 차이로 1그룹에서는 강화마루 공장이, 2그룹에서는 동화일렉트로라이트가 선정되는 영광을 안았다. 승지수 부회장은 "전 사업장의 5S 관리 수준이 많이 높아졌고 생활화가 잘 이뤄지고 있다"고 총평하며 "앞으로도 전 사업장의 5S 표준화를 더욱 도모하고 해외 사업장으로도 확대해 나가길 바란다"고 독려했다. 5S 활동을 몸소 실천해온 임직원들의 노력 덕분에 동화의 사업장은 오늘도 쾌적하고 안전하게 유지되고 있다.
Safe and Clean Business Sites
On October 18 and 20 Dongwha carried out the 5S TOP campaign for the second half of 2023. The 5S (“sort, straighten, sweep, standardize, sustain”) refers to productivity enhancing activities to encourage employees to keep their working environment clean and efficient. Dongwha Group’s 5S TOP campaign is carried out by executives visiting business sites personally to inspect the 5S activities and get in touch with employees. Dongwha Group carries the 5S TOP campaign once a year as part of the efforts to keep workplaces safe and clean.
5S as a foundation for innovative results
The latest 5S TOP campaign was carried out at the business sites in Incheon, Asan and Nonsan with Vice Chairman Jisoo Seung, CEO Kwangbyung Chae and CEO Sijun Lee participating in person. The best business sites received awards. While all the sites received high scores, the laminate floor factory in Group 1 and Dongwha Electrolyte in Group 2 were selected as winners at a very slim margin. Vice Chairman Jisoo Seung lauded Dongwha’s business sites for notable improvements in the 5S activities and expressed hope that they the overseas subsidiaries will implement them as well. Thanks to the arduous efforts of Dongwha’s executives and employees to carry out 5S activities in daily life, its business sites stay pleasant and safe.
