첫 사회생활에 대한 긴장감만큼이나 넘치는 패기와 풋풋한 설렘도 숨길 수가 없다. 2023년 상반기 대졸 신입사원으로 채용된 10명의 인재들이 지난 7월 3일부터 6일간 입문 교육에 참여했다. 신입사원들은 국내 사업장과 공장을 직접 방문해 동화의 75년 성장 역사를 눈으로 보며 체감했고, 다양한 액티비티를 경험하며 핵심가치와 디지털 혁신 활동을 숙지했다. 또한 전문가 강연과 팀 프로그램을 통해 동화의 일하는 방식과 기업이 나아가고자 하는 미래 비전을 공유했다. 입문 교육은 신입사원들이 과거의 자신을 돌아보고, 동화인으로서 현재의 나를 점검하며, 자신의 미래 목표와 동화의 비전을 각인하는 시간이기도 했다. 대부분의 프로그램은 조별 토론과 협업 과제로 진행됐다. 신입사원들은 나와 다른 의견을 수용하며 창조성을 발휘하는 것이 동화의 협업 문화임을 배웠고, 동료들과의 뭉클한 유대감도 경험했다.
긴장감이 기대감으로 바뀌다
신입사원들은 입문 교육에 참여하며 긴장감이 기대감과 자부심으로 바뀌는 경험을 했다. 동화기업 화학소재연구팀 노근진 연구원은 “교육 자료로만 봤던 거대한 생산 설비와 첨단 공정 앞에 실제로 서니 향후 어떤 업무를 맡게 될지 마음이 설렜다”고 밝혔다. 경관기획팀 임규민 사원은 “동화기업이 인재 양성에 많은 노력을 기울인다는 것을 알았다. 열심히 하면 나도 자랑스러운 동화인이 될 수 있다는 생각에 미래가 기대된다”라고 전했다. 사원관계팀 강경수 사원은 “다양한 공정 프로세스를 직접 볼 수 있어 좋았다”며 “성장 동력을 발굴하고 아낌없이 투자해 성과를 도출하는 모습을 보면서 동화만의 열정과 비전을 체감했다”는 벅찬 소회를 밝혔다.
입문 교육은 끝났지만 신입사원들을 위한 교육은 계속된다. 새로운 열정과 아이디어로 가득한 인재들이 잠재력을 발휘하며 각 분야의 전문가로 성장할 수 있도록, 동화기업은 다양한 온·오프라인 교육을 통해 조력하고 응원할 것이다.
Discovering my new self through collaboration
New employees with college degrees who joined Dongwha in the first half of 2023 received six days of training from July 3. They personally visited domestic business sites and factories to witness Dongwha’s 75-year history, and took part in various activities to learn about the core values and digital transformation. From an expert’s lecture and team programs they learned about how Dongwha members work and the company’s future vision. The new employees learned that accepting other people’s opinions and displaying creativity is at the core of Dongwha’s collaboration culture. They also took the time to bond.
Turning nervousness into expectations
The training session has helped the new employees turn their nervousness into expectations and a sense of pride. “Seeing the enormous production facilities and advanced manufacturing processes that I had only seen in pictures, I was excited about the duties I would carry out at Dongwha,” said Geunjin Noh from the Chemical Materials Research Team. “I could tell that Dongwha Enterprise exerts much effort to nurture its human resources. I look forward to my future because I know for sure I can become a valuable member of Dongwha if I try hard,” said Gyumin Im from the Business Management Planning Team. “I saw Dongwha’s vision and passion in the way Dongwha unearths its growth engines and invests in them generously to produce results,” said Kyungsoo Kang from the Employee Relations Team. To help its enthusiastic new members grow into experts in their respective fields, Dongwha Enterprise will provide diverse training programs online and in real life.
